That's too funny - i totally did this in high school with a book from GoodWill, I think it was an accounting textbook from the 70's (just so you don't think i was committing book murder) I used it as a hollow book to store secretive things in!! you know like notes from boys and other REALLY important things!
Oh my! Did someone really think they could trade that in! Very funny!
People never cease to amaze me. Was the person surprised when you refused to give credit for the book?
As a girl, I always wanted to do that to a book to hide all my notes. But the only book we had thick enough was the Bible, and I wouldn't dare do that to the Bible
